Antony is an IT professional who is highly skilled in maintaining the connectivity of networks in terms of data, voice, calls, videos, and wireless network services. He has been working as a senior network and systems administrator at Boardtac solutions overseeing projects and managing technicians. He has been managing our technical team by allocating duties and responsibilities and making sure that IT and network equipment are dispatched on time.

Part of his responsibility has been installing and configuring network and accessories, LAN/WAN network and maintaining computer, access control, time attendance, cctv and printers communication for our clients. Antony introduced office network relocation as a package, and has been the force behind our offices new data cable installation services, network installation for call centers, network installations for data centers, network cable labeling and tracing, network cable testing and fault finding, network cabling upgrades, office relocation, and installation of new office network points in Nairobi Kenya and other regions.

Napenda kujituma. I love getting my hands dirty, which helps me keep in touch with the current network, systems, and IT problems customers are facing. Getting on site with my junior technicians and helping in running cable, trunkings, conduit pipes, digging trenches for network cable, cutting concrete walls to termination, configuration, point of sale, and ERP system installation and configuration. Some of his other primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Install computer networks such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.
  • Ensure that networks are running smoothly.
  • Developing and helping implement IT and network policies and best practice guides for our clients.
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Managing and reporting on the allocation of the IT budget
  • Supervise technicians and allocate duties
  • Oversee installation configuration, training and support of point-of-sale and ERP systems
  • Sorting out computer software and hardware
  • Set up user accounts and passwords.
  • Manage email, spam, and virus protection.
  • Troubleshoot and restore systems after crashes.
  • Retrieve forgotten passwords.
  • Undertake routine preventative measures and implement, maintain, and monitor network security.
  • Ensure that systems comply with industry standards like ISO.
  • Support the administration of servers.
  • Manage system backups.
