Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electric Fence Technician on a flexible, contract or freelance basis. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric fences, ensuring that all systems meet safety standards and function reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and assess client premises for electric fence installations.
- Design and install new electric fence systems, including energizers, wires, insulators, and grounding.
- Maintain and repair existing electric fences, troubleshooting faults such as grounding issues, wire breaks, and energizer failures.
- Test system voltage and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Advise clients on electric fence operation, safety, and maintenance best practices.
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports and project documentation.
Requirements:
- Certificate, diploma, or training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Security Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience installing and maintaining electric fences.
- Knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Own transport and a valid driver’s license is preferred.
